Where are you from?

Originally from France, Brittany state. Now living in the US for 9 years in Portland, Oregon since 2016.

How did you develop your artistic style?

Just by putting in the hours, I have always been drawing since forever. When other kids were doing stick figures I was doing some elaborate ninja turtles and robots lol. Drew my whole childhood before I got to a Graphic Design High school in France. Discovering Graphic Design and what you can do with a computer had a big influence on my style, the crispy vector look.

What is your creative process when working on a project?

I usually start with an idea, gather some inspiration pictures to constitute a mood board. Then I will do 2 or 3 thumbnails sketches to find a good layout. I will elaborate a more dry sketch from the winner thumbnail. I then ink my illustration either with Illustrator if I want a crispy render or Procreate if I am looking for a hand drawn look. Or with paint and/or pencil if it’s an analog artwork.

What are some of your inspirations?

There are so many, started with Anime I watched as a kid like Dragon Ball Z, Saint Seya, City Hunter, TMNT, Batman series 92... French comic books like Tintin, Asterix, Smurfs (call them Schtroumfs in French) Conan the Barbarian, Marvel, DC. Video games have also been an inspiration with the graphics. Street Fighter, Mario, Sonic… Toys like Lego, Action Figures, Nerfs, Sendai like Power Rangers, Bioman, Jirayia, Winspector. And then some artists I like, Andy Warhol, J.Koons, Obey, Invader, 123Klan. Everything that has been designed by either humans or the great architect that some people call god.

How would you describe your jersey design?

The plague doctor is a badass graphic that conveys a deadly ride.
