Design inspired by LA's Chicano culture and gangs of the 60's & 70's. Roll calls, also called placas, are a list of gang member names and were used to define your identity. They were often placed at the edges of neighbourhoods as a way of marking territory.

Old English typefaces, such as those found on birth certificates and newspaper headings, were often used as they were seen as prestigious. Each group would have one writer with his own unique style who would represent the crew.
